A BOMB!?

My wonderful principal is moving to the middle school. :( We had an amazing dinner party to send him off at Hayden's restaurant (where we had our rehearsal dinner). At the party, several people told stories about Rick to honor him. Our night custodian, Don, told a very funny story. He was cleaning the staff bathroom and found a suspicious black box. He immediately went to the office to let the principal know that he was calling the bomb squad. Rick calmly asked where it was and what it looked like. The two of them went back to the staff bathroom, where Rick let him know that it was no bomb..... it was a breast pump. My breast pump. How embarressing! Everyone was howling! In the staff bathroom is a small desk and chair for breast feeding mothers. I just leave it in the desk everyday. I never thought that it would cause such a problem!

Happy Mother's Day!

My first Mother's Day... what a great day! I love my job as mom. I can't wait for the summer when I can be a full-time mom. I'm glad that we take this day to honor our moms. My mom is the best. She is such a help to us. She is my biggest fan and I always know I can rely on her. We spent some time with Grant's mom on Mother's Day. She is such a sweet person. I'm so glad that Grant had such a wonderful mom to train him right! :) He is an amazing husband and father.

Growing Parker

Parker is already 1/2 a year old! I can hardly believe it. He went to the Dr. on Monday. He is still off the charts in height. He is as tall as an average 10 1/2 month old. He is 2 feet 5 inches tall and 18 pounds. For weight, he is between the 50th and 75th percentile. He rolls over, makes all kinds of sounds, laughs, stands with help, grabs everything, and eats.

This was not the first time Parker rolled over, but it was the first time we got it on video. He doesn't like being on his tummy too long. We usually have to work with him to get him to roll over by looking at something.
