Oktoberfest

This is the second year we went to the Mt. Angel Oktoberfest. The town is very cute and packed with people for this weekend celebration. Most of the buildings look like they have been transported from Germany. We had a turkey leg, fondue, and walked around the arts and crafts booths. Grant biked there, about 45 miles.
Eying the giant Turkey leg. He ate quite a bit, but the whole family worked on it and still we had to throw some out.

We took at tractor ride out to a parking lot that wasn't ours just for the experience. He loved it!

That is funny you have Oktoberfest. You should buy yourself a Dirndl for next year. You would look great. We don't serve turkey here though. We serve slow roasted chicken or sausage and a few other local specialties. You should come sometime. You don't need to drink the beer, you can just enjoy the food and ride the rides and see all the German people in their traditional clothes.
We have a lot of smaller festivals as well that don't get so crowded. We prefer those but everyone who comes to visit always wants to go to Oktoberfest. I guess if you have never seen it then you are really impressed by it.
