It was 102 degrees yesterday, so we escaped to the beach. It was gorgeous there. We went shopping at the outlets in Lincoln City for a couple of hours and had a late lunch and then went down to the beach. By the time we got there it had dropped from about 80 to 60 degrees! Brrr. That's Oregon for you. One minute- perfectly blue sky and warm, the next minute... completely overcast. Today we walked out of church and it was sprinkling. So humid! This spring and summer have been so weird. Mostly really cold. I wish it was 75 all the time. Guess I'd get bored after awhile. Luckily, we brought our hoodies. Grant fit Parker in with him. We had a great time.
I realized the other day that I had no butt shots. I have to have baby butt pictures! so we did this little photo shoot.

What Parker Can Do
I can't believe how much he is doing in just the past week. He is rolling over several times in a row.... he got 3 1/2 feet away from me today. I know crawling is just around the corner. He is saying Da-Da-Da-Da, but Grant isn't convinced yet that he's taking about him.
He is sitting up on his own.
He is eating. Yesterday it was prunes. They work! He's feeling much better now.
He plays with balls.
He plays with older kids and finds them fascinating. This is cousin Max. He is 4 years old and loves entertaining Parker every Tuesday when Grant's sister Kristen babysits.
He can bounce!
My mom made this blanket. It's got to be the ugliest blanket I've ever owned, but it's not meant to be pretty... it is to stimulate him. She collected different textured fabrics and straps and sewed them on. He loves yanking on them, scratching them, and eating them. She should go into business and work on making it bit more attractive. :)
Happy 7 month Birthday Parker! I'm so amazed at all you can do.

Parker pics
Check out those feet! They are huge! I worry that we'll be going to the Nike outlet when he's a teenager to get size 17 high tops because he won't fit into anything else. With these genes, how could I expect anything else. Grant and I both are a size 12. He loves kicking this ball and making it rattle. Maybe we have a future soccer player on our hands.
We had to pull over on our way to the church auction. It just looked like HEAVEN!
I took these today after church. This was his easter outfit.
This picture makes me laugh. What a face!
I just love this boy to pieces. He is so great. I just have 8 1/2 more days till summer vacation. I cannot wait. We will have so much fun.
