There are 4 choices for Parker's Halloween costume right now. Take the survey at the bottom of the blog.
#1 choice-- A pumpkin. It is too short so his legs have to stay bent and there are no holes for his legs so he can't crawl. Maybe my mom could make holes.
Choice #2-- A hot dog. My friend, Amy Farr, brought this to the hospital when he was born. He missed out on Halloween last year by 8 days. He was supposed to be here October 30th.
#3 Choice--A tiger. Grrr! Roar!!! He saw his costume at Costco and was just laughing. We put it in the cart with him and he was attacking it and laughing. People were watching him and laughing as we walked around. Very cute.
Choice #4--A rocket! I would be an astronaut of course and he'd be my space shuttle. What would Grant be? The moon? An alien? This is pretty big. He could probably wear it next year. I bought this years ago on clearance at Joann Fabrics. Love it!
Scroll to the very bottom of the blog to take the survey. You help us decide! We are so happy to have our little pumpkin this Halloween. I will be much more comfortable getting up and down off the couch to hand out candy this year!

Parker's new loves
This is my mom's neighbor's cat, Stanley. Stanley is a special cat. He has 7 toes on each paw. He and my dad had a special relationship. Parker sure liked him and he was very patient as Parker tried grabbing his tail and ears. Made me nervous, especially with all those extra claws!
He loves the tupperware cupboard. He loves to pull everything out. Loves crawling from one end of the house to the other.
I love this picture as he belly laughs! He loves to play and read with Daddy.

Can I pet him?
After swim class tonight, we went to Sweet Tomatoes. Next to our table was a group with at least 6 kids. Parker was staring at them. They were entertaining him. I recognized one of the Dads as the police officer that taught DARE to my students the year before last. I was talking with the adults as some of the kids gathered around Parker in his high chair. The youngest boy, around 2, started to pet Parker. He just stroked his arm. Parker seemed to like the kid, so no big deal. Then, he was hugging Parker. Parker was still fine. Then, he tried kissing Parker. His mom grabbed him and apologized. His older brother, maybe 4, came over and asked, "Can I pet him?" His mom quickly said, "NO! He's not a dog!" I just laughed and said, "You can touch him."

Funny Daddy
Grant is so silly. He dressed Parker and then thought it would be funny to go and dress himself in the exact same way, down to the hair style. He cracks me up! I made him change right after taking their picture.
My best friend, Niki. It was fun seeing her and Arien last time we went down to my Mom's. Arien is now a 5th grader. Crazy.

Parker is now 10 months
Here are some pictures showing what Parker can do now at 10 months. He stands with holding on to something. He soldier crawls everywhere and loves to climb. We went swimming today. He is still very nervous in the water.

Utah trip
Parker and I went to Utah and met my mom there. My cousin Chandra got married. I didn't think I'd be able to go because of a math training, but it was canceled and I hopped at the chance to visit Utah and see all my cousins. The wedding and reception was in a beautiful home and Chandra looked great.
This is my Uncle Walt. He is my Dad's oldest brother. Walt and my dad were so much alike... especially their voices and their style. They once bought the exact same suit and tie at Nordstrom in different states. Walt is the closest thing I have to my dad and the closest thing Parker has to a grandpa. It was so sweet to see them together. He is an amazing Grandpa to 10 grandkids. I loved staying with Walt and Kathryn and seeing them with their children and grandchildren. They are wonderful people.
Kathryn practicing for her Sunday performance. What a sweet woman!
Top Row: Angela, Jill, Susan, Caroline
Bottom Row: Jennifer (who lives in Germany), Shauna, and you know the rest.
The only Clark cousins missing were Chandra (on her honeymoon), Loretta (in Georgia), Melissa (who was at the wedding, but had to get back home), Cameron, and John (both in southern CA).
Before we left, we went to Farmington to visit my dad's grave. It is in a beautiful cemetery next to some nice trees. I miss him so much, even more when being around his brothers. I see how great Walt is with his grandkids and I know that my Dad would have been so wonderful with Parker. He loved babies.
Parker started eating the grass and leaves after a little bit. Notice he has a University of Utah shirt on, my Dad's alma mater.
It was a great trip. I hope we can go again soon.
